Project Overview
February - March 2020
Cureheart is another team project I did in Apple Academy. Our app aims to help people practice giving better emotional support through story-play.
Cureheart application serves user with 2 simple pages, one as a story & friends library, and one for user's profile & settings. We decided to not frame the user flow to resemble Library of books, instead, we frame it as familiar as possible with texting/contacting your friend. That is why our main page titled Friends, has list of characters that works as the user's friends, each with their own story, lore, problems, and even personalities.

During the story session, user will be prompted to answer based on the options we provide. To train focus, we also notify users when they open other applications while session is happening. After the session is done, user will get feedback on which response are objectively more of quality.
Future Improvements
This is one of the projects that is dearest to my heart. Design and features wise, I know the concept of practicing through storytelling has a lot of potential. In my personal opinion, what we could have worked on more was the engagement & retention features. At the time of project, we opted to add badges to give sense of achievements, along with new stories and characters for user to interact with.

However, we can explore more options and features, possibly do more user testings in a dedicated time, and the results will bring more insights to how we can improve this application to cater for more user needs.
